Agent Choice Internet

How the State Farm $200/mo Internet Stipend Works

State Farm is transitioning agents to self-managed internet — and providing a $200/month stipend to help cover the cost. Here's what it covers, when it starts, and how Agent Choice Internet is built to fit within it.

Stipend basics — the facts that matter

State Farm hasn't always been clear on the details. Here's what their program documents actually say.

$200/mo per office

One stipend per office location, paid to the primary agent of record. Multiple offices each qualify separately.

Starts after equipment removal

The stipend begins only when SF removes your office equipment — not at signup or contract signing.

Duration not guaranteed

SF says duration is "being evaluated." Treat the stipend as helpful, not permanent — plan accordingly.

AVS enrollment required

You must be enrolled in SF Agent Voice Services (AVS) to participate. Most agents already are — worth confirming.

Paid directly to you

SF pays you the $200. You use it to pay your ISP and your management service (ACI) separately — we don't bill SF.

Proactive opt-in available

You don't have to wait for SF to contact you. Agents can submit SF's Migration Form proactively and receive a ticket + email confirmation within 24 hours.

How ACI is designed to fit within the stipend

ACI's plans start at $109/mo for managed internet — hardware, remote monitoring, ISP coordination, and support included. Here's how the math typically works for a small office:

ComponentMonthly cost
Business ISP(cable or fiber — ACI helps select)$80–100
ACI managed service(hardware, monitoring, support)from $109
Total monthly investment~$189–209
State Farm stipend− $200
Typical out-of-pocket$0–$10/mo

ISP cost varies by provider and location. ACI handles ISP research for your office address so you get the right provider at the right price. See exact plan pricing →

The transition timeline — what happens when

Getting ahead of the timeline means zero downtime and a smoother stipend start.

  1. 1

You receive notice from State Farm

SF contacts you with your equipment removal date. You can also proactively submit SF's Migration Form without waiting.

  2. 2

    Schedule your ACI onboarding call

ACI researches available ISPs at your office address, presents options, and coordinates the install — typically completing setup before your equipment removal date.

  3. 3

    Hardware installed, network live

Your UniFi managed network is up and running. If SF's equipment is still active, both connections can coexist during the transition.

  4. 4

    SF removes its equipment

Your ACI network takes over seamlessly. This is also the date your $200/mo stipend begins.

  5. 5

Stipend arrives, ACI monitors your network

You receive your first stipend payment. ACI continues monitoring, patching, and managing your network — you focus on your clients.

Stipend questions, answered

The most common questions we hear from agents about how the stipend actually works.

How much is the State Farm Agent Choice Internet stipend?
State Farm provides $200 per month per office. The stipend is paid to the primary agent of record and is intended to offset the cost of sourcing and managing your own internet connection after State Farm removes its provided office equipment.
When does the State Farm internet stipend start?
The stipend begins only after State Farm removes your office equipment — not when you sign up or select a provider. You won't receive the $200/mo until SF has actually taken back the equipment they previously provided.
Is the State Farm $200 internet stipend permanent?
No. State Farm has stated the duration of the stipend is currently being evaluated and is not guaranteed to be permanent. We recommend treating it as a helpful offset rather than a long-term commitment.
Who receives the stipend payment?
The $200/mo stipend is paid to the primary agent of record — one payment per office location. If you have multiple offices, each qualifies for its own stipend, provided State Farm removes equipment from each location.
Does every State Farm agent get the stipend?
Agents must be enrolled in State Farm Agent Voice Services (AVS) to participate. Most agents are already enrolled in AVS. This is a good item to confirm during intake — ACI can walk you through verifying your AVS status.
Does the $200 stipend cover the full cost of ACI's service?
For most small offices (1–3 people), yes. ACI's managed internet plans start at $109/mo. When combined with your independent ISP cost (typically $80–100/mo for business cable or fiber), the total runs roughly $189–209/mo — leaving most agents at $0–$10 out of pocket. Exact coverage depends on your office size and ISP choice; see our pricing page for full plan details.
Can I sign up for ACI before SF removes my equipment?
Yes — and we recommend it. Getting your network infrastructure in place before your equipment removal date ensures a seamless transition with zero downtime. ACI handles the ISP selection, hardware install, and configuration in advance so you're ready on day one.
Does ACI receive the stipend directly?
No. State Farm pays the stipend directly to you, the primary agent. You then use those funds to pay your ISP and ACI separately. ACI does not bill State Farm or receive any funds from SF.

Ready to put your stipend to work?

ACI plans are sized to fit within your $200/mo State Farm stipend. Most 1–3 person offices end up at $0–$10 out of pocket — with business-grade internet, managed UniFi hardware, and a team that picks up the phone.

ACI is operated by FollowThrough Works LLC — not affiliated with State Farm. Stipend details are based on State Farm's published agent program guidance as of June 2026.
